We’re sorry, but .jp/.pw domains and Japan-based companies or individuals are no longer eligible for GeoTrust, RapidSSL, Thawte or Symantec. Try .jp/.pw-friendly Comodo certs instead! If you have a non-active GeoTrust, RapidSSL, Thawte or Symantec cert: don’t worry about it, we’ll give you a refund. Active certs will keep working no matter what.

Symantec SSL Certificates
Among Internet users, browsers, and operating systems, Symantec is a well recognized brand that is considered the gold standard among SSL Certificate Authorities. When you're looking for unrivaled online security, certificates by Symantec command the highest degree of trust in your website.
Levels of SSL by Symantec
All Symantec products protect information by verifying the credibility of the website and encrypting data, but not all sites handle a high volume of traffic or require a high level of security. Symantec offers several levels of protection based on the degree of security you need.
The most secure Symantec SSL is Extended Validation or EV, available in two levels of encryption. Symantec performs extensive validation of your company before it issues your certificate.
The procedure Symantec uses to confirm that your company is a real entity that does what it says it does and stands up to cross checking against official records is in line with the protocol established by the CA/Browser forum in 2007. Symantec procedures are the toughest in the industry.
Symantec also offers Organizational Validation or OV, which still requires validation of your business and website, but not as thoroughly as the WV process. Other CAs offer a lower level Domain Validation or DV certificate, but Symantec takes SSL security so seriously that the OV certificate is the most basic one offered.
To contain costs of SSL, Symantec also offers a wildcard certificate that protects all the subdomains on your website. SSLCertificate.com does not carry these certificates.
